While the internet has been around for many years, it lacks maturity, is static and doesn't offer a lot in the way of services. Take the following example:
Two years ago, a man wanted to buy a laptop computer. Not wanting to hunt around computer stores during his lunch breaks, he decided to buy online. After searching all the popular online stores, he found the laptop he wanted.
According to the web site, 58 were in stock and it could be delivered in a day or two. So he supplied his credit card details and purchased one. A few days later, nothing. He called the online shop and was told that they had run out of stock sometime ago.
After the money was returned, he decided to try again at a few other sites. Each time finding the items out of stock, despite the indications that stock was available.
Finally, he decided to have one custom built by a well-known international brand that specialised in internet sales. Four weeks later, it still hadn't arrived.
While we hope this is not the typical internet shoppers story, it does show a need for improved services, especially in the area of sales.
Dwarf Paradox was formed with the aim of improving the internet and making it useful for everyday people. It was started by a small group of professional individuals that have been working with the internet since its conception. By combining each of their proven abilities in information technology, advertising and business, we believe we have formed a company that has the ability and experience of no other.
Achieving Our Aims
We see two ways to achieve our aims. The first is to provide quality services to consumers. The second is to help others to provide quality services. Both rely on the provision of useful, high quality, low cost services.
